10.1. The Minister may grant, on the conditions he determines, a subsidy to a municipality with a view to the building, rebuilding or maintenance of a municipal road or of a highway to which paragraph i of section 3 applies.
For the purposes of this section, the word “municipality” includes a native community represented by its band council within the meaning of the Indian Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. I-5) or the Naskapi and the Cree-Naskapi Commission Act (S.C. 1984, c. 18).
